There is a lot of difference in one year. 1965 versus 1964 is base metal versus a silver coin. Look at the values in the dime comparison. OK first one is 35 cents and the second one is two dollars, but we know why this is. 1964 was the last 90% silver year. People do not mind paying more. Silver rises

Silver has done great this year. It did double from 15 an ounce to over 30 now. People worry as silver rises. Gold is also moving up. It is now over 1400 an ounce. Those of you that bought precious metals will indeed be popping champagne corks and doing a bit of celebrating in the new year.
