OK so get a list of 50's time travel movies. Most are so awesome. For example, Back to the Future went to 1955. This was an excellent film that was a period piece. Clothes were spot on. Yeah, this movie even has some early old school rock music. Time Travel in 50's was an interesting idea as people back then were more open. Yeah, to new ideas as well as science.

Styles change over the ages. OK some are iconic. They dominate an era. For example, a time traveller would notice as they go back that trees are smaller, and see funny cars. Biggest change you see doing time travel is in the clothes that people wear. Also styles in hair care.
