Deindustrialization is a shift in an economy from producing goods to producing services. Back in the 50's General Electric made drills and all kinds of tools right here in america. Well, those days are over. The have been shutting down american factories for many years now. What is the main reason? OK we are told it is workers wages. Perhaps this is so. There are many reasons besides deindustrialization to go overseas.
