There is a lot of difference in one year. 1965 versus 1964 is base metal versus a silver coin. Look at the values in the dime comparison. OK first one is 35 cents and the second one is two dollars, but we know why this is. 1964 was the last 90% silver year. People do not mind paying more. Dime comparison is a good idea to understand the value of coin money.
